Felts Powers Warriors Past Bearcats

Westside downed bitter rival Brookland at Bearcat Arena Monday night by a final score of 52-46. The Warriors are looking like the team to beat in the new 4A-3 Conference.

Avery Felts led all scorers, going for 19 points on the evening for the Warriors, including 14 in the second quarter alone. Kessler Mack added 15 for Westside. Braden Smith paced the Bearcats with 16 points of his own, including a stretch where he reeled off eight of 11 of Brookland’s points during an attempted fourth-quarter comeback. Matthew Vaughn went for 10 points on the night for Brookland.
